The DC Extended Universe’s future is uncertain, but there are several intriguing films on the horizon, including Shazam Fury of the Gods. This upcoming sequel to the underrated movie will follow Billy Batson and the Shazam Family as they embark on new adventures. Director David F. Sanberg, who helmed Lights Out, is returning to direct the film. While plot specifics are scarce at the moment, Shazam Fury of the Gods will introduce three new characters to viewers.
Helen Mirren and Lucy Liu have been cast as the antagonists Hespera and Kalypso, respectively, in the film. Rachel Zegler, a rising star, and Golden Globe winner, is also part of the cast, but her role has not been disclosed.
